Women in Tech Gala will host four amazingly talented and inspiring women in technology coming from different backgrounds to share their experiences and achievements on the stage with you. Let’s celebrate our leading ladies in technology!
It is not an event only for women, men are welcome to join as well! Hesitant? Look at last year’s statistics where we had 50% women and 50% men in the audience.
It is our pleasure to introduce the ‘Women in Tech’ Gala speakers for this year:
Pascale Van Damme, Managing Director Dell Belux and ICT Woman of the Year 2014
Pascale is a real leading lady in technology, as the CEO of Dell Benelux. She’s also president of the Agoria ICT board. Pascale has been elected ICT Woman of the Year in 2014, the jury praised her efforts to coach young ladies and to guide them in their career.
Heidi Rakels, Co-Founder and CEO at GuardSquare, a company specialized in the security of mobile applications.
Heidi’s passion for software engineering spans many years of software development projects in the telecommunication industry. She holds a Master of Science in computer science from the University of Leuven. Heidi is also an Olympic medalist from the 1992 games in Barcelona.
Tina Stroobandt, Founder of World of Waw, a 3-year old Start-up developing augmented reality apps.
Tina grew up in a family passionate about technology. She’s a real augmented reality rockstar, dreaming about a 3D future. Furthermore she has been elected ‘Rookie of the year’ by Voka last year. “Fear kills more dreams than failure ever will” is her advice for young tech starters.
Wendy Geeraert, Manager at Cronos Groep and Founder of Guide2Property, a real estate platform with an enhanced search robot.
Wendy holds a Master’s degree in Architectural Engineering. She strives for optimization and innovation, so becoming an entrepreneur was a natural outcome for her. With Guide2Property she has set her first footsteps in the start-up world.
